Meet the Board: Jon Kluesner

Updated: Jun 30, 2022

Jon Kluesner, who has worked in construction for 20 years, is a project manager at Edwards Concrete and Construction. Jon can be described as driven, stable, and observant. Kluesner is originally from Jasper, Indiana, which he describes as a small town of hard workers that helped shape him to be the person he is today.

“There is great reward in seeing a project start as a blank landscape and culminate into something incredible, knowing the sweat, stress, and expertise it took to get there,” Kluesner says.

As the newest Board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Indiana and a current Big Brother, Jon is extremely excited to support kids and their futures. He says the organization has a collective goal of mentorship and it’s a great asset to the community.

“I want to be a part of its future. I was fortunate to have parents that encouraged me to help others and be a part of positive and forward-thinking organizations,” he says.

For the last three years, he has been a Big Brother to his Little Kevin. He says the friendship they have developed has been invaluable and that kids are the future. They enjoy going to the bowling alley and movie theater.

“As adults, we have the responsibility to inspire them to be the best that they can be,” says Jon.

Growing up Jon wanted to be an ESPN Sports Center anchor and loved Stuart Scott. His favorite movies are The Sandlot and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

Today, he enjoys spending time with his wife Chelsea and their dogs Jake and Scout, and the rest of their extended family. They love to travel, cook, and attend St. Louis Cardinals games.

Please welcome Jon to the board!

Our Board of Directors are some of the largest advocates and supporters of our organization. We are grateful for an engaged Board of Directors who are committed to our vision for all children to achieve success in life.
