Big Brothers Big Sisters is proud to highlight our newest Board Member, Scott Roberts, whose passion for mentorship, community, and growth shines through everything he does.
Scott currently serves as the Vice Chancellor of Administration for Ivy Tech, a role he stepped into in October 2024. His work centers around Budget and Capital Planning Management, ensuring resources are used effectively to support the college’s mission and future. Although Scott was born in Portland, Oregon, he eventually made his way to Indiana, where he attended the University of Southern Indiana, majoring in Accounting and Finance. His blend of analytical skill and leadership experience fuels the thoughtful perspective he brings to the BBBS Board.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys a balance of strategy and movement—often found playing tabletop board games, running, or working out. He describes himself as loyal, resilient, and compassionate, traits that guide both his professional and personal life.
Like many kids, Scott once imagined a future in uniform. At 10 years old, he dreamed of becoming a police officer. Today, his aspirations are shaped by a commitment to uplift others. One of his favorite quotes, “The future depends on what you do today,” reflects his belief in taking action to create meaningful change.
When asked why kids are important, Scott shared that “they help unite communities.” This belief aligns closely with why he chose to join the Big Brothers Big Sisters Board. He is excited to bring fresh ideas and perspective, with a strong desire to help grow the organization and expand its impact.
Scott believes deeply in the BBBS mission, sharing:
"I believe in the organization’s successful and proven model for youth mentorship and the lasting impacts made in the lives of everyone involved. When young people are supported and encouraged, they develop the confidence to make meaningful contributions to the world around them. Every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and empowered. When we invest in their potential, we’re not just changing individual lives—we’re creating a brighter, more hopeful future for everyone.”

Our Board of Directors are some of the largest advocates and supporters of our organization. We are grateful for an engaged Board of Directors who are committed to our vision for all children to achieve success in life.
