Meet the Board: Clay Sills

Clay Sills, who has been in banking for 22 years, is a Commercial Underwriting Manager, where he has enjoyed being a part of a customer’s success and business growth. Clay can often be described as kind, easy going, and dependable. He was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, and attended both Reitz Memorial High School and the University of North Carolina at Asheville.

As the newest board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Indiana, Clay is excited to serve the organization and his community, saying: “I really enjoy working with kids and making a positive impact on their lives. Regardless of the situation, all kids deserve an opportunity to learn, grow and be happy.”

In his free time, Clay enjoys attending his kids’ sporting events, watching Manchester City soccer games, and running. Lately, he has been amused by the Progressive Insurance commercials he sees on TV, saying that they make him feel that he is “turning into his parents.” Clay’s favorite food is pizza and his favorite movies are the Indiana Jones franchise as well as The Goonies. When he grew up, Clay wanted to be a professional soccer player.

Clay’s favorite quote is an inspiring and impactful one, and is something that he plans to live out through his service with BBBS: “It’s always the right time to do the right thing” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Please welcome to the board, Clay Sills!

Our Board of Directors are some of the largest advocates and supporters of our organization. We are grateful for an engaged Board of Directors who are committed to our vision for all children to achieve success in life.
