BBBS hires Development & Events Specialist Amanda Green

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Indiana is excited to announce our newest team member, Amanda Green, Development and Events Specialist.

Amanda recently joined Big Brothers Big Sisters at the start of August and is excited to bring her skills and talents to the agency. Amanda’s job duties will include cultivating relationships with community partners, spreading awareness for BBBS, and planning and implementing our annual agency events including Bowl for Kids' Sake, Golf for Kids' Sake, and Big Night Out.

Originally from Princeton, Indiana, this Indiana native attended the University of Evansville where she studied Global Leadership. Amanda is excited about working with Big Brothers Big Sisters because she believes “every child has the potential to become anything they want in this life, and I wanted to be able to help play a small part in that!” Amanda is described as passionate, adventurous, and funny. She finds joy in the simplest things and noted seeing a hummingbird outside her living room window recently made her smile because it had a special meaning to her.

When Amanda is not working, she is spending her time volunteering. Some of Amanda’s favorite places are the Vanderburgh Humane Society, Free Mom Hugs, and Honor Flight of Southern Indiana. Amanda’s favorite movie is the Lion King and her childhood favorite if American Tail. When she was little, Amanda wanted to be a Marine Biologist and stated her favorite quote is "Do it with passion, or not at all" by Rosa Nochette Carey

Please join us as we welcome Amanda to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Family! We are excited to see the amazing things that you are going to do!
