Staff Spotlight: Lisa Anderson

Updated: Mar 18, 2020

Lisa Anderson enjoys helping the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in her hometown of Evansville, keeping everything organized as our Office Manager and Bookkeeper. After going to college at Purdue, she returned to Evansville and now works for Big Brothers Big Sisters because she likes

“Working for an organization that gives back to the community.”

Lisa knows that kids are important because they are our future, and helps ensure that future for as many children as possible with her work in our organization. Lisa describes herself as “organized, dependable, and friendly,” and she uses these traits to help keep our office running smoothly, making sure we are able to help as many children as possible.

When not busy working, Lisa enjoys tending to her lawn and garden and doing craft

projects, or watching her favorite movie, Twister, with her two cats (or sometimes The Garfield Movie .) She has a longstanding family tradition of supporting her alma mater by continuing going to Purdue basketball games at the Mackey Arena, so she understands how important it is to make sure that the children we help have those sorts of connections. When asked what had made her smile lately, Lisa responded with watching “the Littles enjoying the holiday party.” We are so excited to continue to create moments like that for our Littles, and are grateful to Lisa for her work in making sure we get to do as much of that as possible.
