Introducing another amazing and dedicated member of our board… Sarah Kenoyer! An Evansville native, Sarah became involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southerwestern Indiana because of her passion for volunteering.
“Volunteering is such a rewarding experience and I’d encourage anyone to look how they can give back through serving with a non-profit, even if it isn’t with BBBS,” she says.
Besides her work with BB BS, Sarah is the Senior Business Development Coordinator at Deaconess Health System and received her Bachelor’s in Health Services and Master’s in Health Administration at USI.
“I enjoy being part of an organization that is dedicated to serving children and helping them form long-term relationships to inspire them to achieve their dreams,” she says.”
Sarah describes herself as kind, empathetic and hard-working — three traits that are reflected in her childhood dream job of a teacher.
When she is not working, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and being outside. Her favorite TV show is “Friends” and her favorite kids’ movie is “Coco.” Sarah has recently discovered audiobooks and just finished “The Magnolia Story” by Chip & Joanna Gaines.
Overall, Sarah likes to keep busy and keep smiling.
“We are in the middle of the COVID-19 quarantine, so smiling is important right now to keep spirits up,” she says. “My son makes me smile daily, but also seeing how the community is working together, supporting one another, especially healthcare workers and other essential workers, at this time has made me smile and has made me tear up a few times as well.”
Our Board of Directors are some of the largest advocates and supporters of our organization. We are grateful for an engaged Board of Directors who are committed to our vision for all children to achieve success in life.
