Aurian Garrett, a dedicated volunteer, is a Business Consultant at Duke Energy. He can be described as moving, passionate, and outgoing. He is originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina, and attended Old Dominion University.
Growing up he dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. He’s happiest when hiking, biking, and being outdoors. His favorite kids’ movie is Cars and his favorite food is chicken marsala.
He believes kids are important because they are our future.
Aurian is a former Big Brother and a member of the program committee. He volunteered at the BBBS Summer Picnic where he grilled and greeted matches at the event and helped at the 2nd BBBS Gala. Aurian has recently joined the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Indiana.
“I want to pour into others as I have been poured into,” he says. “Mentoring is important as it allows for another perspective.”
His favorite quote is “Knowledge without application equals stagnation.”
