Audrey Maupin joins Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Indiana as an intern this fall. Maupin is originally from Batesville, Indiana, and is living in Evansville while attending school.
She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Indiana and majoring in social work with a psychology minor and legal studies minor.
Described as respectful, compassionate, and caring, Maupin brings her unique skill set to the Big Brothers Big Sisters team. She enjoys being part of a team that allows her to get involved with
the community across Southwestern Indiana. She believes children are important because, “they are the future and they need that support to help them in life.”
She is happiest when she is able to help others and doing good for people. She grew up wanting to help people in some way through the healthcare system or social work.
Her favorite quote is from Dolly Parton: “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow you gotta put up with the rain.”
Her favorite movie is Forrest Gump and her favorite children’s movie is Tangled. She loves
seeing the Little’s in the program and getting to know them.
