Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Indiana is very excited to welcome Tony Buzzella to the team as our Development & Events Specialist!
Tony is thrilled to bring his passion for the organization and community to the BBBS staff. As the Development and Events Specialist, he will spearhead the communication and outreach between individuals and organizations to promote the mission and philanthropy of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Along with being in charge of donations and fundraising, Tony’s role will also involve the promotion and marketing of BBBS events to volunteers, participants, and donors.
Originally from Lake City, Florida, Tony joined the US Army in 1998 and retired from Active Duty in 2018. He is also a graduate from the University of Phoenix. Described by others as empathetic, honest, and tough, Tony joined the team because he enjoys helping others see and reach their full potential.
Growing up, Tony wanted to be a soldier. His favorite movies are the Harry Potter franchise, and his favorite kids movie is Frozen. When he is not working, Tony spends most of his free time with his family and finds the most joy in watching his kids learn and grow. As a family tradition, every Friday night is movie night. Recently, Tony read the book “Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life” by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Welcome to the team Tony!
