Meet the Board: Eula Wilson

Updated: Sep 1, 2021

For nearly a decade and counting, Eula Wilson has served as a Big Sister. Now, Eula continues to give to the program as the newest member of the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters

of Southwest Indiana.

Eula works for a mental health facility, serving the underserved by providing recovery services for individuals suffering from trauma, severe mental illness, and addictions. As a native of Henderson, Kentucky, she is a graduate of Henderson County High School and Henderson Community College. She completed the Pharmacy Technician program through Pharmacy Systems, Inc, and received her Pharmacy Technician License from the Indiana Board of Pharmacy in 2010.

Growing up Eula wanted to be a teacher. Her favorite movie is the original Star Wars and her favorite childhood film is E.T. Her favorite food is pizza and her favorite quote is from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., “The time is always right to do what is right.”

As a current Big Sister, Eula has been matched with her Little Jayla for almost 10 years. Jayla is 15 years old now and they hang out three to four times a month, sometimes more. Her Little loves school and makes straight As. She is encouraging her to get involved in extracurricular activities so she can learn new things and be exposed to different types of people. They love to go to the movies, paint, visit Sky Zone, go to the library, attend group BBBS activities, go out to eat, arts and crafts, and more.

“I’m passionate about being a Big Sister because I believe that our youth are our future leaders,” says Eula. “I believe our youth deserve a chance at life and I’m happy to help youth reach their full potential to be all that they can be.”

Eula is described as kind, compassionate, and dedicated. As a board member, she plans to bring those qualities to the BBBS program.

“I’m excited to be serving on a Board that is passionate about the youth in our community. Our youth are our future and they need positive influences in their lives. I’m honored to be serving our youth in this capacity of support,” she says.

Please welcome Eula Wilson to the board!

Our Board of Directors are some of the largest advocates and supporters of our organization. We are grateful for an engaged Board of Directors who are committed to our vision for all children to achieve success in life.
